Community Outreach Ministry
“15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, 16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? 17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. (James 2:15-17)”
There are many that our society has labeled as social outcasts in our community due to addictive behavior, mental illness, criminal activity etc. However, we believe that God has no respect of person. It is His will that none should perish but all come to repentance. The only way that the world will know that we belong to Jesus and want to seek Him for themselves, is through the display of love. A few ways that we accomplish this in our community is: Once a month, we have a 3-course dinner for special homes. We also host a “Dress to Impress” event for less fortunate men and women in the community who cannot afford or don’t know how to properly groom themselves. Community Chapel has set out to encourage and convert as many souls as possible in our community through love. We don’t want to just preach to our community, but we also want to service them in providing food, clothes, and life skills information. This effort is accomplished weekly on Tuesdays when we serve food and provide clothes for the community. We also give out holiday baskets including food and gifts on Thanksgiving and Christmas. Most importantly, we deliver the Word of God that the community would hear about the Gospel and see the love of Christ in action.
